- To help us celebrate Labor Day, we will examine and challenge some of the prevailing ideas and attitudes about work. To help us celebrate our "Ingathering," you are invited to bring object that signifies something meaningful that you learned or experienced this summer.

- September 7 - "Poverty in the Land of Plenty"

- This service is part of the "the Vote out Poverty" campaign, an interfaith nonpartisan effort to make poverty a priority in the election and upcoming years. What is poverty and what can be done about it? Are our values what we want them to be?

- September 14 - Water Communion
Glenna Jones-Kachtik and Stephanie Walls 
- Glenna, Stephanie and our children's religious education program will lead us in Water Communion and a celebration of this sacred element. Want to find the religious and spiritual in everyday life? Look no further than the water that makes life possible. Everyone is invited (but not required) to bring some water that comes from a place of personal significance.

- September 21 - "Religious Freedom and Native Americans"
Milo Colton 
- The right to free religious expression has been denied Native American rights, and Milo Carlton will tell us what he has done about it. One of Milo's students at St. Mary's Law School started a nonprofit organization "Civil Rights Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc" Since then Milo has represented some stirring cases. This presentation will satisfy the intellectual as well as the living heart liberal.

- September 28 - "Enemy Images"

- Long before a country goes to war, they usually begin creating dehumanizing images of those deemed as enemy. The same dynamic applies to personal consciousness and daily life. What would we do without enemy images? Are you ready for a real challenge?
