Catherine McKee was re-elected to the board of the U. U. Housing Assistance Corporation at its annual general meeting on November 13, 2001. The number of board members was expanded to 13 and will include lending institutions and community representatives in the areas being served - near-northside neighborhoods and the East Side. The board's role is evolving, as an office staff of seven will work with low-income homeowners and buyers to make over a million dollars worth of loans and mortgages in the next twelve months. The board will develop a new form of governance more suitable for this expansion. A reminder: We hope you will become a member for 2002. You can do so by sending $20 to: U. U.
