Religious Education

The mission of our religious education program is to lay a foundation for lifelong commitment to UU values and traditions. Because we believe the entire congregation benefits from intergenerational experiences, we encourage children's active participation in and meaningful contributions to the community's worship. We seek to promote each child's own sense of worth and an appreciation of the search for truth and meaning.

All children participate in the beginning of the worship services and then are dismissed to a multi-age class. The children also participate from time to time in multi-generational services in lieu of RE. In past years, RE has done the Water Communion service, the Dia de los Muertos service, and the Guest At Your Table/Bread Communion Service. YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists) meet at CUUC once a month.
