Community Unitarian Universalist Church has a Women's Group which meets every other Monday evening in the Church from 7:00 P.M. to about 9:30 P.M. The purpose of the group is to provide a means of getting better acquainted with other female Church members and to receive their acknowledgment and support. There is no official leader of the group, but rather the responsibility for group duties, such a timekeeping and orienting new participants are shared among the group members. It should be noted that this is not a therapy group. However, all discussions are held completely confidential. Many women have found that the group has provided a safe haven in which to get support and understanding while working through difficult issues. There is no commitment to attend a minimum number of sessions required. All that is needed is desire to participate.
